It is our great pleasure to present the International Biophysics Congress that will take place in Donostia-San Sebastian, on the 5th-7th June 2024. The meeting is being organized as a joint effort by the Spanish, French and Portuguese Biophysical Societies, to gather scientists for presenting their most exciting biophysical research work. It will be an excellent opportunity for researchers to meet and discuss opportunities to collaborate in a genuinely multidisciplinary environment. Main Local Organizer CIC biomaGUNE is managing the preparation of the ESAB 2024 Congress in collaboration with local institutions such as Donostia International Physics Center, CIC bioGUNE, Instituto Biofísica and the University of Basque Country UPV/EHU. This congress, which is expected to attract approximately 350 people, will be an inspiring event that will provide plenty of opportunities for interaction and networking.
Moreover, the event will bring together researchers and students mostly based in France, Spain, and Portugal, but also European researchers who are interested in the most recent advances in the field of Biophysics. In fact, the participation of three societies will broaden the networking activities and the dissemination of knowledge in biophysics.
The scientific programme is not finalized yet. However, a distinctive group of international keynote speakers and a large and diverse number of invited speakers are expected to present their most notable results in different topics such as Biophysics and Health, Protein Structure and Dynamics, Nucleic Acids and Supramolecular Complexes, Receptors, Channels and Transporters, Cell and Tissue Biophysics, Membrane Structure and Function, System Biophysics, Computational biophysics in health and Biological Physics. Therefore, we expect to have represented contributions at the foremost front of biophysical research in the broadest sense.
